He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignacio Perez and Fernandra Martinez Perez; his son Lonnie Perez; and his siblings, Marces Gomez, Margritto Gomez and Marina Gomez.
He is survived by: his children, Danita Perez (Edwardo) and Rick Perez (Pam) of Newton, Illinois; his stepchildren, Mary Jane Knorr (Terry) of Bowen and Rod Tippey (Mixie) of Augusta; his daughter-in-law Christina Perez of Gallatin; his siblings, Louie Gomez of Lexington, Pete Gomez of Manila, Francis Gomez of Lexington and Helen Keslar of North Platte; his uncle Primo; and his aunt Estephana Gomez. He is also survived by several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Illinois Veteran's Home, Maple Avenue Christian Church or Assembly of God Church in Industry.
