He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Mainland and Ruth Hendrickson Mainland; and his brother Larry Cox. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Vail; his son Chris Mainland (Shanda Ford) of Macomb, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Caden and Brooklyn Mainland.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
