She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur E. McDaniel and Florence Belle McDaniel (Barnes); and her siblings, Agnes McMillan, Margaret Danner, Rachel McDaniel, Arthur McDaniel (Buss), Frank McDaniel, Eugene McDaniel, Donald McDaniel (Sonny), Charles McDaniel (Buddy) and Albert McDaniel.

She is survived by: her husband Vernon Eugene Vail; her children, Verna Mae Parkins (Vail) and Leigh Arthur Vail; her grandsons, Scott Vail Parkins and Christopher Lee Parkins; and her great grandchildren, Elliot Raymond Parkins, Nicholas Scott Parkins and Hannah Rene Parkins.
