She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Hughes and Ada Hughes (Hatton); her husband Harlan Specketer; her brother-in-law Joe Griffin; and her nephew Tom Griffin.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Rodgers of Springfield, Susan Angst (Leroy) of Peoria and Kevin Specketer (Karen Herrman) of Lincoln; her stepchildren, Steve Knowles (Eileen) of Macomb, John Knowles of Hillsboro and Nancy Kucharz (Rich) of Monmouth; her grandchildren, Heather Rodgers, Heidi Jacobus (Jon), Bart Rodgers (Sarah), Lindsay Craddock (Robb), Samantha Auch (Rick), Tara Morris (Dwane) and Josh Specketer (Nicole Derias); her stepgrandchildren, Amy Churchill (Knowles) of Morton, IL, Nick Knowles (Liz) of Macomb, IL, Michael Kucharz of Carbon Cliff, IL, Elizabeth Kucharz of Monmouth, IL and Ian Knowles of Portland, OR; and her sister Marte Griffin Woodward of Port Isabel, Texas.. She is also survived by 5 step-great-grandchildren and seven beloved nieces and nephews.
