She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles R. Sparling and Pauline Sparling of Watseka, IL.; and her siblings, Martin and Janice. She is survived by: her husband Geoffrey Widener (Tom); her sons, Todd (Valerie) of Champaign, IL and Sean (Darcy) of Mahomet, IL; and her grandsons, Brody Stropes and Kyle Widener.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rose's name to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church or Carle Hospice.
