She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Marx Jr.; and her brothers, Robert and Gregory Alheid. She is survived by: her children, Jacqueline Prentiss (Kelly), Carol Voigt (Gary), Diana Bonadonna (Anthony), David Marx (Sue), Daniel Marx (Dawn), Tracey Marx and Kimberley Fogel (Scott); her siblings, Barbara Hairston (Jim) and George Alheid (Inge); and her sister-in-law Diane Alheid.
