Janice B. Russell-Akin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice B. Russell-Akin of Marion, Illinois, who passed away on November 10, 2020 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janice B. Russell-Akin to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Esco "Buster" Cross and Ivalee Cross (Taylor); and her siblings, Jim, Bill Cross and Winnona Gail Cross.
She is survived by: her former husband James P. Russell; her children, Jimmy and Debbie; her husband Vernon Akin of Marion; her children-in-law, Gayla Russell of Marion and Kevin Crompton of Marion; her grandchildren, Jimmy Russell III, Brittani Saylor, Talley Saylor, Taylor Crompton, Kaleb Crompton and Kelsey Crompton; her great grandchildren, Zander Saylor, Reese Borders, Daxton Borders and Maddux Hill; her sister Barbara Deanne Kendall of Marion; her sister-in-law Kim Whitehead of Carrier Mills, IL; and her stepchildren, Vernon Akin Jr. (Debbie), Vicky Gray (Mike), Victor Akin (Kim), Vincent Akin (Robin), Virgil Akin (Rose), Vernadean Akin and Kaiden Akin. She is also survived by seventeen step grandchildren, forty two step great grandchildren, eight great-great step grandchildren, other extended family and many friends.
