We are sad to announce that on July 25, 2016, at the age of 85, Opal I Shoemaker (Maroa, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thelbert Wise and Viola Wise (Benningfield); her husband Willard D. Shoemaker; her children, Gay W. Shoemaker, Eric E. Shoemaker, Linda M. Welch (Mark), Marsha E. Shoemaker and Melody A. Morse (William); her grandchildren, David Shoemaker (Jesse), John Shoemaker (Cassy), Jillian Medrano (Julio), Joseph Welch (Charis) and Jacob Welch; and her nieces, Shirley Marquiss (Robert) of Vienna, IL and Sheila Dawson. She was also cherished by 7 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great grandchild.
Memorials may be directed to the Texas Christian Church or the Maroa Fire and Rescue.
