He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dial and Ida Dial (Hall); and his siblings, Anna Moss, Mary Martin, Louise Copass, Leland and George.

He is survived by: his children, Jack Dial (Gayla) of Waynesville, IL, Tracey Dial of Clinton, IL, Bryan Dial (Yvonne) of Maroa, IL and Darrin Dial (Krista) of Kenney, IL; his grandchildren, Dustin, Megan, Morgan, Ryland, Mason, Raymi, Carsen and Lucas; his great grandchildren, Bentlee and Braxton; and his brother Robert Dial (Sandra).

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Phillip Lee Dial Memorial Fund.
