It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne Cheatham (Marseilles, Illinois), born in Iron Mountain, Michigan, who passed away on October 14, 2018, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandson David Cheatham II; and her siblings, Earl, Clarence, Francis, Jim Sweig and Henrietta Goudreau.
She is survived by: her parents, Earl Sweig and Eva Sweig (Peiche); her child Dennis L. Cheatham (Gail) of Brentwood, TN; her grandchildren, Dennis Jr., Matthew, Marc, Marshall and Diana M. Ekstam of Marseilles; her children, Dawn Jeanblanc, Denise, Danielle Borowski, Damon and Donald B. Cheatham (Adrianne) of Crystal Falls, MI; her grandchildren, Donald Jr., Angela, Christina Ivey, Jodi Remington, Daniel L. Cheatham (Lisa) of Ottawa, Rebecca Keesee and Michael; and her brother Thomas Sweig (Ginger) of Niagra, WI.. She is also survived by 33 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
