It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Koutsoumpas Haenig of Marshall, Illinois, who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Koutsoumpas and Mary Ellen Sumption Koutsoumpas. She is survived by: her spouse Russell Haenig; her daughters, Jennifer Engel (Aaron) of Byron, IL, Kate Haenig of Kanakee, IL and Erin Simpson (Evan) of Savoy, IL; her grandchildren, Braden Engel, Samuel Haenig, Makenzie and Malachi Simpson; and her siblings, Kris Tingley (Carl D.) of Hutsonville, IL, Kathy Hasten (Jerry) of Kingwood, TX and Bill Koutsoumpas of Page, NE.
