He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gard and Nellie Gard; his wife Norma Jean Tucker; and his brothers, Gerald, Don, Babe and Kenny.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Tracy (Norm) of Greenup, IL and Bob Gard (Lisa) of Marshall, IL; his grandchildren, Nicole Beals (Tom) of Charleston, IL, KaLeigh Taylor (Greg) of Charleston, IL, Josh Gard (Amy) of Marshall, IL, Luke Gard (Kellie) of Tuscola, IL and Levi Gard (Ashley) of Marshall, IL; and his great grandchildren, Avery Beals, Ella Taylor, Brady Taylor, Emma Gard, Alli Gard, Avery Gard, Jayse Gard, Koy Gard and Victoria Gard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family has requested for those who desire to make memorial contributions in his memory, to the Oblong Chilren's Christian Home Oblong, IL.
