He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Boerngen and Leona Boerngen (Wendling); his sister Madonna Hudson; and his great-nephew Nicolas Londoño. He is survived by: his wife Kathi Boerngen of Mason; his sons, Brian Boerngen (Jennifer) of Mason and Wayne Boerngen (Kelly) of Mason; his grandchildren, Faith Bohnhoff (Jake), Nathan Boerngen, Jordan Budde (Tyler) and Allyssa Boerngen; and his siblings, Faye Tomkins (Allen) of Effingham, Loralee Mayberry (Chuck) of Effingham, Eldon Boerngen (Nancy) of Belleville and Richard Boerngen (Carol) of Montrose. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Louisville or Lutheran Care Center, Altamont.
