She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward and Fern Elsie Furry (Annis); her husband Charles D. Carter; her siblings, Elizabeth Newby (Betty), William Furry and Carl Furry; and her daughter-in-law Cecelia Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Berk of Highlands Ranch, Thomas Carter (Gail) of Janesville, Richard Carter of Woodstock, Donald Carter (Sonya) of Highlands Ranch, Cynthia Downey (Liam) of Boulder and Barbara Carter (Marc D. Moskovitz) of Durham; and her grandchildren, Jason Carter, Erica Ledford (Phillip), Derek Carter (Lindsay), Melissa Chukwueze, Matthew Carter (Jenn), Kevin Carter, Kyle Carter (Kristin), Brooke Schelar (Drew), Kyle Martin (Kelly), Maja Carter, Dakota Downey, Natalie Downey, Eve Moskovitz, Alyra Moskovitz, Leila Moskovitz and Adin Moskovitz. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
