He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon L. Ross and Izola Ross (Newton); and his son Rob Steging. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Elmore; his children, Joshua Ross (Jenny) of East Peoria and Rhonda Showalter of Bartonville; and his grandchildren, Ben, Emma, Tyler, Chris, Kelsey and Logan.
