With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl August Bruns (McHenry, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 22, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl August and Lisbeth Bruns (Russ); and his wife Elisabeth. He is survived by: his children, Eric Carl Bruns, Katrina Bruns and Andrea Lisa Buzek (Robert); his grandchildren, Dana (Joel), Benjamin (Michelle), Jacob, Cristina (Tom), Claire, Kyle and Alex; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Kaeden, River and Theodore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
