He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thielsen and Anne Thielsen; his brother Richard Thielsen; his brother-in-law George Koehl; and his son-in-law Jerry Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Jerry (Cheryl), Ken, Gary (Cathy), Donald O. F. M. Conv, Steven (Karen), Gregory, Jeff (Cindy), Michael Thielsen (Jane) and Gail Smith; his sister Lorraine Koehl; and his sister-in-law Alice Thielsen. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Donald's name may be made to Nancy Thielsen.
