He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Brendel and Anna Brendel (Schiro); his sisters, Patsy and Diane; his son-in-law Dennis; and his pet Splash.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry; his children, Terri Olson, Krissi Brendel, Christie McLaughlin (Brian), Holly Benjamin, Robin Barlow (Steve) and Fred Brendel (Lissa); his grandchildren, Abby (TJ), Drew (Chris), Kaylie, Ashley, Brent, Emma, Sofie and Lorelei; his great grandchildren, RaeLynn, Tobias, Corran and Caspian; his sister MaryAnn (Jerry); and his close friends, Ollie, Boo and Lulu. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
