He is survived by: his wife Janyce Anne Shields (Mutnansky); his daughters, Catherine Shields, Mary Shields (Eugene Knudsen) and Anne Elgar (Kirk); his grandchildren, Branden Elgar, Kyle Knudsen and Kelly Knudsen; and his siblings, Louis Shields and Jane Vigil. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
