He is survived by: his children, Ron Schaefer, Beth Schaefer, Tracy Flathau (John) and Rebecca Thoren (David); his siblings, Sherry Hauck (Kenneth) and Michael Schaefer; his grandchildren, Angela, Courtney, Trever, Spencer, Nicholas, Jazmynn, Matthew, McKenzi and Kylie; and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Jr., Jace, Scarlett, Peyton, Addilyn and Lily.
