He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Begalka and Flora Begalka. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Anderson; his sisters, Janice Brockner (Tom) and Mary Roberts; his children, Kurt Begalka (Carol), Stacy Bianchi (Jeffrey) and Mark Soderberg; and his granddaughter Jessica O'Donnell. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Audubon Society or McHenry County Historical Society in Union, Ill.
