She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph and Julia. She is survived by: her husband Andrew; her children, Rick Halik (Melodie), Joe Halik (Linda), Sherri Leo (Rob) and Nick Halik (Lindsey); her grandchildren, Lindsay, Garret, Emily and Chloe Halik; and her sister Judy.
Memorials may be made in Shirley's name to The Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry as well.
