He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Schnurstein and Esther Schnurstein; his former wife Janet Knight Schnurstein; his wife Dina Knuth Schnurstein; his children, Kenny Schnurstein (Missy), Ellie and Kevin Schnurstein; his former wife Nicki; his daughter Caitlin; his stepson John Knuth (Maria); and his stepgrandchildren, Mikayla and Melanie.
