With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Watkins Sr. of Mechanicsburg, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 11, 2022 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry Watkins Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Ray and Venetta Fern Watkins (Wake); his former life partner Barbara Jo (Mills); his wife Karen Watkins (Patton); his siblings, Jan Lowery, Joyce Bennett and Lyle Watkins; and his great grandchildren, Gatlin and Wesson Smith.

He is survived by : his children, Larry Watkins II (Karen) and Melisa Galloway; his stepchildren, Patti Beaman (Ron), Debi Matthews (Robert), Lester Edwards and Bob Edwards (Dana); and his siblings, LeRoy Watkins (Stevie Benedict) and Jacquie Kirby (Don). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
