He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Mercurio and Charlene "Sis" Mercurio (Ash); and his brother-in-law Bill McBee. He is survived by : his wife Linda Smith; his children, Drew Mercurio (Krista Shields) of Alton, Dane Mercurio of Alton, Heather Price (Mike) of Shipman, Leah Zelechowski (Lance) of Edwardsville, Max Mercurio of Medora and Alex Mercurio of Medora; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Dalton, Zane, Abel and Violet Price; and his siblings, Linda McBee, Lonnie Mercurio (Trudy) of Charles Mercurio, III and Matt Mercurio (Pam).

Memorials may be made to the Mercurio Family or Bethel Baptist Church.
