He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dougherty and Margaret Dougherty; and his brother Robert Dougherty (Pat). He is survived by: his children, Christine Engebretsen (Carsten), Colleen Dougherty (Christopher), Michele Savino (Joe) and Jamie Del Percio; his grandchildren, Joseph Savino, Gianrocco Savino and Carsten Engebretsen; and his siblings, Karen Seidenberg (Steve), Maureen Dougherty, Colleen Bronstein (Phil), Christine Dougherty, Terence "Terry" Dougherty, Margaret "Meg" Kubiak (Joe), Mary Beth Ewing (Steve) and Gerald Dougherty (Gailen).
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM at the Carbonara Funeral Home (1515 25th Ave, Melrose Park, IL 60160). A procession will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
