He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dumas and Ora Lee Dumas (Yates); his wife Melody Moe; and his siblings, Mary, Brenda and Eli.

He is survived by: his brother Bakeries; his stepdaughter Linda Scott (Randy) of Sandwich; his daughter Tuveda Dumas of Chicago; and his sisters, Joann Eskridge of Park Forest, Ruby Dumas of South Haven, Paula Yates of Duck Hill, Hester Maxine Snow of Chicago and Glinda Gail Snow of Chicago.
