He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wendel and Gunda Wendel (Rebhan); his siblings, Evelyn and Lyle; his daughter Sherry Zerbe (Lane); his wife Carol Ossman; and his grandchildren, Sarah Christoffersen and John Zimmerly.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan McCoy (Hughie) and Connie Yambert (Jon); his stepchildren, Robert Lewis, Kathy Lewis and Dawn Thomas; his son Terry "Boomer" Wendel; and his close friend Rags. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and his dog.
