It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon Cockrel of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on June 8, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Wayne Cockrel and Mary Ethel Cockrel (Call); and his brother Robert Wayne Cockrel. He is survived by : his wife Betty Jean Brenningmeyer; his children, Timothy Cockrel (Beth) of Bremerton, WA and Jill Cobb (Matthew) of St. Louis; his grandchildren, Ryan Cockrel (Robin) of Bremerton, WA, Benjamin Cockrel of Yakima, WA, Madeline, Nathan, Ian Cobb of St. Louis, Emily Coates (William) of Tacoma, WA and Mac Everitt of Mountlake Terrace, WA; and his great grandchildren, Paisley, Sam Cockrel of Bremerton, WA, Mary-Ellen, Maggie and Clara Coates of Tacoma, WA.. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed the many dear friends.
