He is survived by : his children, Mary Hammond (David), Kent of Washington and Larry Gale (Sharon) of Belleville, IL; his siblings-in-law, Johnnie Brimmage (Latrice) of Shiloh, IL and Mary Lou Thorpe of Madison, IL; his stepchildren, Patricia Mayes of East St, Sarah Mayes of Madison, IL, Willie Frank and Tony Mayes (Rosemary); and also Andrew Prowell (Ruth) of Cahokia, IL. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
