It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Henderson (Minier, Illinois), born in Lewistown, Illinois, who passed away on May 13, 2017, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Stockham and Mary Ella Courtney Stockham; and her siblings, Mike, Walter, Russell and Peggy.
She is survived by: her husband Arnold Henderson; her children, Martha Avery of Pekin, David Avery (Peggy) of Pekin and Jim Avery of Minier; her stepchildren, Jill Henderson of Texas, Gary Henderson of Atlanta, Jake Henderson (Brenda) of Mackinaw and Kevin Henderson (Jennifer) of Bloomington; and her sisters, Dixie and Joann. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, several step grandchildren, several great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to her church or to Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS).
