Maher of Monmouth, Illinois, born in Muscatine, Iowa, who passed away on December 31, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Maher and Marylnn Maher (Keeler); and his brothers, Charles Maher and Benjamin Maher. He is survived by: his wife Gail Maher of Monmouth, IL; his children, Theresa "Terri" Springer (Perry) of Monmouth, IL and James "Todd" Maher of Chenoa, IL; his grandchildren, Ryan Springer (Tonya), Danny Springer, Colby Springer, Amber Springer, Allie Highland (Ben) and Crystal Hilt (Hunter); his siblings, Edward Maher (Valarie) of Bettendorf, IA, Marilyn Baer of Muscatine, IA, Janice Lownes (Randy) of Canyon City, CO and Irene Lande (Bill) of Rockvale, CO; and his sister-in-law Janet Maher of Davenport, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, the Pontiac American Legion or OSF Hospice and sent to the funeral home.
