It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beulah Newman (Monticello, Illinois), born in Neoga, Illinois, who passed away on May 13, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvey Elza and Grace Agnes Gardner Phillips; her husband Horace Wayne Newman; and her siblings, Homer, Harold, Lawrence Phillips, Thelma Hunsley, Alma Oakley and Barbara Montgomery.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Yarnell (late James) of Champaign and Larry Newman (Cally) of Tigard, Oregon; her grandchildren, Brian Yarnell (Heather) of Sandy, OR and Kristen Blanton (Brian) of Danville; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Emily and Nicholas Yarnell of Sandy, OR; her sister Olive Stiebner of Monticello; and her sister-in-law Elsie Phillips of Neoga. She is also survived by nephews and nieces, and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello, or to an organization of the donor's choice.
