She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hilgendorf and Vera Hilgendorf (Parsons); her former husband Floyd E. 'Bud Remmers; her husband Norman Hammerschmidt; and her sisters, Jean Menacher and Helen Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Wolfe of Monticello, Wendy Jent of Tuscola and Melanie Ray of Monticello; and her sisters, Juanita Striegel of Monticello, Peggy Cafin of Monticello and Gerry Gregory of Monticello. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
