He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Babcock (David). He is survived by: his father Gene Ray Babcock, Sr. of Bethalto; his children, Ashley (Ross Williams), Felecia (Roger Ernst) and Tyler Babcock of Dorsey; his grandchildren, Gabriella and Elliana of Lincoln, L. T.; his siblings, Donna (John Bailey), Debbie (Kevin Green), Sandy (Jay Harlan) and Mike; and his sister-in-law Carol Babcock (Andrianna Argyropoulos) of Bethalto. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Pitchford Funeral Home (2555 Vaughn Rd, Wood River, IL 62095). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to ARC William BeDell or to the Community Hope Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
