She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Rider and Laura Rider (Gabler); her sister Charlotte; her brother-in-law Robert Paddock; and her niece Diane Paddock.

She is survived by : her husband John Ferguson of Morton; her son John Jr. Ferguson (Alexandra) of Coral Gables, Fla; her grandchildren, Kathleen Ferguson of Chicago and Michael Ferguson of Washington, D. C.; her stepgranddaughters, Nicole Marsell of Coral Gables, Fla. and Christine Marsell of Coral Gables, Fla.; her niece Cindy Doty (Jerry) of Phoenix; and her nephew Michael Paddock (Sharon) of Tinley Park, Ill..

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home (140 S Detroit Ave, Morton, IL 61550). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
