With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Roy W. Fort of Morton, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Roy left this world on June 17, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fort and Abby Fort (Sperry); his wife Frances Ann Madacey; and his siblings, Mildred Schafer, Lloyd Fort, Viola Dringenberg, Ralph Fort, Louise Wanner, Doris Bauman and Ray Fort.
He is survived by: his children, Marti Amaral of Morton, Phillip Fort (Julie) of Morton and Allen Fort (Jennifer) of Morton; his grandchildren, Jason Amaral, Drew Fort, Kelly Thomas, Brock Fort and Brenna Fort; and his great grandchildren, Charlie, Anne, Remington and Lorelei.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home (140 S Detroit Ave, Morton, IL 61550). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Glendale Memorial Gardens (18119 IL-9, Pekin, IL 61554).
