With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Accurso of Mount Prospect, Illinois, who passed away on June 20, 2025 at the age of 102. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Covelli and Antionette Covelli; and her son Paul Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Paul of Bryan, Texas.; her brother Bob; her children, Michael (Paula), Janice (Scott), David (Pamela), Jim (Theresa) and Suzanne; her grandchildren, Kelly Nelson (Cris), Marie, Ashley Wanish (Steve), Anthony, Jackie Gopin (Ryan), Larry Barnes (Tracy), Michael Barnes, Shauna Sevon, Scott Jr. Sevon (Megan), Vincent, Mary Kay Leo (Matt) and James Accurso; her brother Mike; her children, Fannie Mae and Arlington Heights; her caregiver Jenky; and also, Julia Child, Bon Appetite, Millie Marcus, Lou Mosher, Irene Flatley and Shirley Orlich.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Raymond de Penafort Church (301 S I Oka Ave, Mt Prospect, IL 60056). Following the pandemic, and until recently, she dutifully looked forward to participating in televised Sunday mass from Holy Name Cathedral with Cardinal Blase Cupich, from the same front room chair she took her black coffee every morning as the sun filled the room.
