He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mothers, Pearl Simmons and Joan Simmons (Nohren); his wife Dorothy "Dotty" Mahon May; his granddaughter Girls; his sons, Ethan Simmons (Emily) of Decatur, IL and Eli Simmons of Taylorville, IL; his granddaughters, Brynna of Moweaqua, Blair of Moweaqua and Brooke Tolly of Moweaqua; and his siblings, Phillip Simmons (Cheryl) of Effingham, IL, Karen Crouch (Rodney) of Lebanon, IL, Lora Sarver (Landon) of Lebanon, IL and Jennifer Simmons of Sheldon, IL. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
