She was predeceased by: her father William Caplinger; her sister Ladonna Ruth Caplinger; and her brother-in-law Barry Clevenger. She is survived by: her mother Verna Caplinger (Poirot) of Murphysboro, IL; her siblings, Charles Caplinger (Anne) of Ocala, FL, William Leslie Caplinger (Dawn) of Vergennes, IL, Lori Janine Clevenger (Doug Murray) of Murphysboro, IL and Jessi Watts of De Soto, IL; her nieces and nephews, Jessica Wagner (Josh) of Golconda, Chad Pearson (Brenda) of Bowling Green, KY, Keri Kaune (Randy) of Hendersonville, TN, Tonya Caplinger of Murphysboro, Christopher Caplinger of Vergennes and Susan Casper of Indianola, IA; and her great-nieces, Piper, Haddy and Cora Wagner.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home - Old (31 Memorial Dr, Murphysboro, IL 62966). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park (31 Memorial Dr, Murphysboro, IL 62966).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorials be made to Pate Chapel Baptist Church.
