He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Susan Mayer; his children, Christine Mayer (Rob Coons) of Evanston, IL, Eric Mayer (Rachel) of Downers Grove, IL, Kevin Mayer (Liza) of Chicago, IL, Braden Schultz (MacKenzie) of Sioux Falls, SD, Erin Schultz of Naperville and Nathan Schultz (Anneliese) of Gold Canyon, AZ; his grandchildren, Noelle, Elise, Travis and Henry; his parents, Richard Mayer of Rocky River, OH and Anne "Mickey" Mayer of Rocky River, OH; and his siblings, Christopher Mayer (Joan) of Brecksville, OH, Anne Plesmid (Warren) of Newbury, OH and Mary Mayer.
