She was predeceased by: her sibling Harland Johnson. She is survived by: her parents, Herbert Johnson and Esther Johnson; her spouse Walter "Bud" Petersen; her children, Mary Olson (Bob), Linda Petersensmith (George Smith), Molly Susan Petersen and Walt Petersen (Pamela Ursetto); her grandchildren, Tony (Patsy), Rob (Heather), Bob Jr., Julie (Joel), Kris, Joe, David (Nueng), Adam, Nicole, Derek and Michelle; her sibling-in-law Wallace Rypkema; and her siblings, Lillian Owen, Kathleen Rypkema, Judith Koski and Joanne Hansen.
