He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Anderson and Lorraine Anderson (Waters); and his siblings, Arthur and Linda. He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Anderson of Rockford, Audrey Abus-Hassan (Ghazi) of Iman, Jordan, Clyde Anderson of Winnebago, Jerry Anderson (Leslie) of Tennessee, Gene Anderson of Byron, Ann Redig (Bill) of Florida and Carl Anderson of Winnebago. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are established in his name.
