He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry E. and Sarah Hasselmann, Sr.; and his siblings, Maryann McAuliffe (Robert) and James H. Hasselmann (late Doreen). He is survived by : his wife Sharon; his children, Julie Vellender (Patrick), Caroline Egbers (Douglas), Betsey Hasselmann-Blankenship and Peter Hasselmann (Anne); his grandchildren, David Harry Blankenship, Alison (Anna Vellender), Kevin, Daniel (Irene Egbers), Jack and Kaitlyn (Avery Hasselmann); and his sisters, Joan Boetig (Robert) and Eilene Miller (John). He is also survived by numerous niece, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Gary Sinise Foundation or Lurie Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
