He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Mae Garland and Charles Preston Garland; and his sister Anne Garland Aragon. He is survived by: his daughter Elisabeth (Charles Kuntz); his nieces and nephews, Corinne Slater (Steven), Steven Aragon and David Aragon; his brother-in-law Manny Aragon; his friends, Mary Dunning Garland, Robert Goldstein and David Sperl; and also, Jaqueline Thomas, James Thomas and Suzanne MacDonald. He is also survived by father, brother, uncle, friend.
