It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary G. Chetwood of Naperville, Illinois, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Grissom and Fransess Grissom (Hickman); her sisters, Joanne and Tassis Grissom; and her former life partner Jimmy Smiley.

She is survived by : her children, James Breck Smiley (Lisa) of Oswego and Kyndell Chetwood of West Chicago; and her grandchildren, James (Susie), Joseph (Jillian) and Jessica (Cody). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
