He was predeceased by : his parents, Herbert L. Carpenter and Gladys M. Carpenter (Cooley); and his sister Joyce Carpenter. He is survived by : his wife Connie Carpenter of Neoga, Illinois; and his brother James Carpenter of Effingham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
