He was predeceased by: his sons, Ronald Johnson and Rick Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Wolters; his daughter Doris Goodwin (Jerry) of Trenton; his daughter-in-law Phyllis Johnson of Mascoutah; and his grandchildren, Brent Rakers (Jessica), Jackie Campos (Berti), Nikki Knobeloch (Mark), Kelli Gilbert (Allen), Jason Johnson (Danielle), Lisa Fertig (Gary) and Melissa Zwetow (Jarrod). He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 321 and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover St., New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
