He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Cooper and Marjorie Cooper (Lynch); his wife Mary A. Parsons; his daughter Brenda Martin; and his brothers, William Cooper and Robert J. Cooper.

He is survived by: his son Jeff "Opie" Cooper (Tammy); and his grandchildren, Leandra, Zack, Megan, Angela and Aspyn. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
