She was predeceased by: her parents, William Barrett and Loraine Barrett (Smith); her husband John L. White; her daughters, Rebecca Lyn White and Margaret Ann White; and her brothers, Herb Barrett and Dr. Darwin Barrett.

She is survived by: her sons, J. Timothy White (Connie) of New Holland, IL, James R. White (Jane) of New Holland, IL and Rodney J. White (Paula) of New Holland, IL; her grandchildren, Brittany Struebing, Lacey White, Aly White, John E. White, Connor White, Emy White and Elly White; her great grandchildren, Jacey White of New Holland, IL, Jack White of New Holland, IL and Sophia Struebing of New Holland, IL; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Fletcher (George) of Lincoln, IL and Gerry Barrett of Carmel, CA..

Memorials may be made in Muriel's name to New Holland United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
